Supporting local Denise Castle, WBC World Champion.

It was a great pleasure to be able to host an evening with Denise Castle, the WBC Thai Boxing World Champion and now WBC Boxing World Title contender.

Denise is  no doubt about it,  a fantastic ambassador for the WBC and for the town she lives, Bournemouth should be very proud.

To be a WBC World Champion is an incredible achievement and puts her into a very prestige list of champions, Ali, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, Leila Ali, Nigel Benn, the list goes on.

All this from a heard working mum of three, what an inspiration Denise is to anyone.

Denise gives great pride and represents the green and gold so well, what a remarkable lady and I feel very privileged to have been able to host such a fantastic evening.

Bournemouth is now right behind you Denise, so give it all you have on the 22nd September!

LETSGOCHAMP!

WBC World Boxing Title contender shown support by the people of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth locals turn out with a packed house to support local mum of 3 who next months contends or the WBC World Boxing Championship.

Bournemouth has some exceptional athletes and people of inspiration in general and it is time we begun recognising these people, we live an age of everyone using social media, everyone has it, lets use it to spread the good, the positive and for the good it can do, lets support and encourage.

Thank you Denise for being a great guest, your words inspired many, and hopefully the energy in the room you can carry into your training over the next 5 weeks, EVERYONE in that room last night is right behind you as you contend for the WBC World Title in September, a remarkable lady, already achieved so much and still hungry to achieve.

There were some little ones in that room, maybe last night there will be words that they will remember if they decide to pursue their dreams!

Another year older, another year wiser, 43 and excited.

So I now turn the clock to my 43rd year

This year is going to be an interesting one to say the least, my 25 year year now complete in security is something I look back proudly on and I whilst I have a lot to offer the industry and remain very passionate I now want to greatly enhance and focus other passions that will become known soon.

I have been truly blessed with the experiences I have had over the years, working with, for and in collaboration with some of the best people, this will continue, but I never take this for granted.

As I proceed through 2018, there will be some exciting new projects that will become public knowledge soon enough and some interesting twists in my career, this year and going forward is going to even more than ever about  doing the things I love, the things that I believe I have a lot to offer also, this year I want to inspire, motivate and make things possible for others also.

I will keep you up to date and hopefully some of my plans include you.

43 feels great so far!

British Rowing Championships, Sandbanks.

I am seeking security for daytime and overnight cover from the the 15th August through to the 19th,  these will be 12 hour shifts and located at one of the most prestigious and beautiful parts of the South Coast.

The British Rowing Offshore Championships is a celebration of coastal rowing. In its second year, the event aims to support the development of coastal rowing in England.

Racing starts with competitors jumping into their boats before rowing off the shore to the first turning buoy, before heading out on the course (4km for heats and 6km for finals). To finish, crews row back onto the shore, with one nominated member of the crew jumping out of the boat to run across the finish line on the beach. It’s a a fun and dramatic start and finish that simply cannot be missed!

Ahead of the event, from the 17-18 August, the Commonwealth Beach Sprints Regatta will be held at Sandbanks Beach.

E mail marc@1ststopsecurity.co.uk if you would like to be considered.

WBC Cares Charity Fight Night.

So as a young boy, I fell in love with boxing, I watched Frank Bruno gallantly challenge Mike Tyson on the 25th February 1989 for the Heavyweight World Championship and from that day on had a huge admiration, respect and a huge interest in the sport of boxing.

I have nothing but respect for any man or women that steps into the ring, whatever the level they compete at, those that scale the professional ranks however and go on to become champions well these people are simply idols to me,

Professional boxing of course is governed by sanctioning bodies, I have always had a strong affection for the World Boxing Organisation, the WBC, The Green and Gold, to me the most prestigious boxing strap there is. Since regularly attending the annual WBC convention,s since 2012 and being welcomed by the family it has been a real privilege to be involved and become friends with the people that make this great organisation what it is.

So this time last year for  me to have the opportunity to compete on a WBC boxing event was quite literally a dream come true, taking part was  a dream in itself, to win my bout and to be awarded a WBC piece of Green and Gold medal myself is something that very few will ever experience and something that I will cherish for the rest of my days.

The whole experience was simply incredible, for me to get back in a boxing ring, the last time being 10 years ago was a huge commitment,, so at 40 plus it was a physical ask as well as a metal one, but I am pleased that once I decided I was going for it, the motivation and focus was like nothing I had experienced, knowing the prize was a combination of three things very important to me, being proud of myself and proving to myself that I could do it being the main driving force and  also inspiring others, if we can inspire and are in a position to inspire then I say do it,  and then very special to me was forever more to be the proud winner of that WBC, Green and Gold, my very own piece of boxing history, it is not a world title but to me it could be the very nearest thing.

A great night and a great experience and as always it was a pleasure to have my good friend Scott Welch watching on and supporting everyone on the event.

I am very proud to be an ambassador for the WBC Cares UK, but I will tell you more about that another time.

25 years and always learning, hungry and dedicated.

Almost 25 years ago I started out in an unplanned career in the security industry, almost quarter of a century 😀

10 years ago I began learning the the close protection industry and then set out, striving to be the best I can be in a niche sector that requires trust, forward planning and attention to detail.

Today in 2018 I take great pride in the clients that my services get engaged by and that request my service or advice, I’m very proud to be working with some of the clients I already have agreed in 2018.

If you require personal security, a professional, reliable, fully licensed and fully insured service for yourself, your home, your family or your travels then feel free to get in touch.

I won’t pretend, glamourise or fail to plan or deliver or talk something in to something it is not.

I take my business very seriously and always with professionalism and discretion 👍

"How do you manage to do a lot of what you do?"

People often ask me "How do you manage to do a lot of what you do?"

The answer actually is pretty simple.

A lot of what I do business wise, compliment each other,

For example when I host an event, such as here with a fantastic Frank Bruno I organised in aid of raising funds for Julia's House children's hospice my two vocations complimented one another perfectly.

The beauty of this event was that having my own security supply company, I was in a position to not just engage the services of my own security operatives, but rest assured the whole event that security was not something I was going to need to worry about whatsoever, the event ran exceptionally smooth and was a fantastic evening for all and the security team were top class.

My choices of profession or vocation are not by chance, I have always had a clear idea of what I would like to be doing, where I believe I would like to be heading and where my passions are in life and business, sometimes it may of course on arriving at that destination it may not be what I was expecting and i reroute, however with most decisions I have made in business I often see a potential to how my current situation will be of great benefit to my future plans and business development.

So in answer to the original question, I manage to do what I do because I do what I enjoy and I see angles of how business can fit like a jigsaw and of course working with the right people and having a great team with and around me.
